The Prince of Wales Details Vision of Beneficial Evolution When He Becomes King

William announced that "transformation is a key goal – change for the good."

During a remarkably candid conversation, William set out his approach to the monarchy.

"I aim to challenge conventions further," he remarked to Eugene Levy in a royal setting.

William said: "I aspire to foster an environment where my children can take pride in our actions, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better."

Parenting Amid Public Attention

His oldest child, George, recently marking his twelfth year, is destined to inherit the throne.

His other son, Prince Louis, is seven with Princess Charlotte celebrating her tenth birthday.

William revealed his offspring are without smartphones. And he appeared to suggest his desire to protect them from similar situations both he and his sibling experienced during childhood – perhaps referring to paparazzi attention which affected their mother as well.

"Reporters craved any information available, and they were in everything, literally everywhere," the prince described the voracious media he experienced growing up.

"If such interference is permitted, the destructive impact on family relationships is something that I vowed would never happen to my family," he stated.

Embracing Change While Honoring Tradition

About his reform plans, William said: "I accept and appreciate evolution – I don't fear it. This element motivates me, the possibility of implementing reforms."

William specified: "Not extreme transformation, but changes that I think that need to happen."

William further stated: "Customs should be maintained, and tradition has a huge part in all of this. Yet, instances occur when assessing traditions and wonder: 'Is this still appropriate now?'"

"Does this action remain correct? Could we achieve greater influence?'"

Viewpoint Regarding Monarchical Role

After the inquiry about considering the throne, he answered: "It's not something I wake up in the morning and think about, since authenticity and selfhood guides my conduct."

"And then you can attach whatever labels and kind of roles that come on top of that, but if I'm not true to myself, and faithful to my principles – then personal significance diminishes," he emphasized.

"My positions and obligations receive earnest attention but it's important, like I said to you earlier, avoid being dominated by them – instead master them," the prince summarized.
