With the creature (not monster) shown earlier, the main question remained: what is the release date the film's trailer?
In fact, the answer is now. Revealed on Oct. 1 — a fittingly spooky date — the film's teaser shows us the creation of the being inside Frankenstein's workshop.
Additionally, we see the being coming to life, causing havoc and mayhem as it searches for the master that abandoned him.
The destruction left behind following their confrontation as they meet come into focus. The footage appears stunning and sorrowful, suggesting it will certainly become a must-watch for movie lovers this fall.
Del Toro's Stance: Not a Horror Film
Del Toro has had his fingers in many horror and horror-adjacent pies over the years.
Initially, Frankenstein certainly seems to fit the bill. However, regardless, the director has emphasized that this is not a horror film.
"It's a heartfelt narrative in my view. It's among my most intimate works. I'm posing inquiries on parenthood and childhood… I’m not doing a horror movie — ever."
Notable Performers
Featuring Oscar Isaac portraying the ambitious scientist and Jacob Elordi as the creature given life, those familiar with the book know that there's more that go beyond mere horror.

Happily, the wait is nearly over. Viewers can catch a brief, awards-qualifying theatrical run at specific cinemas from mid-October onward, prior to its Netflix debut starting November 7th.
