A 23-year-old from Southampton received a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
Additionally, the judge issued a 12-month driving ban and mandated unpaid work along with a rehabilitation program.

According to police officials, the video was filmed at an unauthorized car meet in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, featuring the individual driving a pink BMW.
“This footage shows the alarming incident when a dangerous driver skidded on a traffic circle at an unauthorized car meet, while spectators looked on ignoring the risk of severe harm.”

Police representatives stated that more than 200 offences related to unauthorized vehicle events in the area have been addressed in just over a year.

An officer remarked: “Local people, drivers and our roads policing teams have had their fill with these groups of drivers thoughtlessly occupying public roads and car parks and we refuse to accept it.”
The officer continued: “They are not only a complete nuisance, but they also put themselves and innocent bystanders at risk of severe harm.”
The statement concluded: “Our efforts will persist to take legal action against these drivers and I hope these recent cases serve as a caution: you will face consequences.”
