The both teams have a historical link, also competing in Forest's most recent continental tour in the UEFA Cup of 1995-96, but it is the continental championship 46 years ago that links these clubs, with Britain's first £1m player the English forward scoring the winner of a pretty miserable final to secure historic victory for the the English club.

This match is a distant from that pinnacle, closer perhaps to the previous continental meeting between Forest and Malmö in the mid-nineties. Forest are absolutely buzzing after defeating Liverpool convincingly at Anfield on Saturday, while Malmö have been inactive since last month following the end of the Swedish league season.
