Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Charges Involving 38 Patients
Legal authorities report that a former physician has been charged with committing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the forty-five charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
